What Is The Difference Between The Cloud Server And The Normal Server?

Many of us don't see the difference between the cloud server and the standard physical server. The standard server is the physical server hardware we install in our datacenter at the server room. But cloud servers is a logical and remote server installed, hosted, delivered accessed through a cloud platform.

A cloud server is a dedicated or shared server use to store a massive amount of data, online website hosting, and deliver software services. Otherwise called a cloud hosting cloud server serves millions of customers at the same time. Cloud servers also make the customer feel like getting the dedicated server for their website. Disaster recovery and data backup:

When we add any data to the cloud server, a copy of that data made and store in a remote location. We can retrieve data from the remote site whenever we lose data due to any natural disaster or any hacker attacks.


Cost-effectiveness: Even though it is costly, the cloud server price depends on the data size we want to host. The cloud server also minimizes the electricity cost.


Disadvantages of cloud servers::


  • In shared cloud hosting security, the guarantee is less.

  • Dedicated cloud server hosting doesn't provide 100% uptime.

  • We can't control personally the websites hosted.

  • In shared hosting, website loading time also long and slow.


What are the Normal servers?


Standard physical servers are losing their popularity, but many of the business owners prefer standard physical servers. They are ideal for large corporates who need data security and high levels of server capacity. Businesses using heavy I/O applications get the best in bare-metal physical server hardware.


Advantages:


Easy to maintain: Keeping the physical server secure if the company has the best IT support teams to maintain and manage the server.

High Processing strength: Normal physical server can process any high IO applications and run them optimally


Disadvantages:


High price: Buying or renting a physical server requires a considerable sum of money.

Requires IT Knowledge:

Deployment and maintenance of normal physical sever need experience and proper IT knowledge about the server hardware and software.

No data backup and retrieval to a remote site like a cloud server.Physical server data backup and recovery through a local mechanism.

Buying new servers is a bit expensive than buying used or refurbished servers. But we can get the high-performance servers with all the latest advancements in the IT world. New server prices give you the chance to select the ideal server with advanced technologies for your business needs.
